The Arsenal fans are hoping that Arsene Wenger will bring further talent to the club this month to give the Gunners fresh hope of returning to the Champions League this season.
The future of Alexis Sanchez was finally resolved on Monday evening as his transfer to Manchester United was officially confirmed. The news arrived as a relief to the resident Gunners propping up our bar who were beginning to grow tired of his future dominating the headlines, and they were also pleased to see Henrikh Mkhitaryan arrive at The Emirates in exchange for the Chile international.
The arrival of Mkhitaryan has boosted the Arsenal fans desire to see more talent arrive at the club. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears to be firmly at the top of their wish list, however, the fans are also hoping that Wenger will add defensive quality to his squad by the end of January.
According to The Mirror, Arsenal are interested in Abdou Diallo who currently plays his trade at centre-back for FSV Mainz and captains the French U21 side.
Diallo (valued at £7.2 million by Transfermarkt) arrived in the Bundesliga during the summer of 2017, so it’s more than likely that Mainz will be highly reluctant to sell their 21-year-old talent who has been a key player for the relegation-threatened side this season.
However, that fact has certainly not deterred the Arsenal supporters from calling for Wenger to secure his signature this month.
Here’s what the supporters had to say about a potential move for Abdou Diallo on Twitter…

That is a picture of Giulio Donati but yeah I would take Abdou Diallo because I would take any player Sven Mislintat recommends.
