Talented boss assured again that Man United position is his

Van Gaal MourinhoManchester United fans can’t believe they’re still discussing managerial speculation, which has dragged on for months, but, thankfully, it doesn’t appear the situation regarding the man they’re chasing has changed.

The Sun claims former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been assured once again that the position at Old Trafford is his next season, with the club set to replace an under-performing Louis Van Gaal.

Whilst Van Gaal could still finish in the top-four and win the FA Cup, United’s performances this season have been far from what they were expected to be and the Dutchman may be forced to take an early retirement, one-year before his contract at Old Trafford expire.

United have been heavily linked with Mourinho ever since he was axed by Chelsea in mid-December and further advanced talks have been held with the highly-rated Portuguese boss.

Mourinho’s camp were said to be worried about reports linking United with a move for PSG boss Laurent Blanc, a former defender of the Red Devils, but they’ve been assured Mourinho is the only man for the job.

Will United confirm Mourinho as their next boss before the end of the season? Let us know in the comments below!
