The Chelsea fans by the bar in the Transfer Tavern have spent the day so far discussing who could leave the club on Deadline Day…
It looks pretty quiet when it comes to incoming players, but there are a host of Chelsea players that could yet leave the club, or perhaps join the Blues’ ever-growing army of loan players.
Conte’s method of management largely focuses on a group of 12 or 13 players that are regularly chosen, and whilst that is great for those included within the primary group – it is not so good for Chelsea’s youngsters.
Two young players that have had unpredictable futures are both Charly Musonda and Kenedy, both of whom have had loan spells cut short this season.
Both players have since had uncertain futures, with Conte suggesting that their futures would be decided over the course of the month.
Now, it would appear as though the duo are set to stay put – with Telegraph journalist Matt Law reporting that both Kenedy and Musonda will remain at Chelsea this month.

Musonda and Kenedy set to stay at Chelsea. No great optimism over any incomings atm #cfc

This has come as a surprise to the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, given that neither play is likely to play much this season. Marcos Alonso and Nathan Ake have got the left wing-back spot covered, whilst the likes of Pedro, Willian and Eden Hazard will offer little chance for the emergence of either of the duo making a move into the Chelsea attack.
Kenedy had a torrid time at Watford this season, whilst young Musonda failed to capitalise on a decent campaign last year, having been recalled from a spell at Real Betis.
They could be used to serve as depth, of course, but given that both players are still very young – a loan move away would surely have been more useful long-term.
With Chelsea still in the FA Cup, you would imagine that the duo might get their chance in that competition under Conte.
