Talks planned as Emery looks to clear up Arsenal behind the scenes

Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking forward to seeing what Unai Emery can bring to the Emirates Stadium this summer and will be expecting the club to make a number of changes.

The Spaniard replaces Arsene Wenger and comes in with his own wealth of experience, having been hugely successful in Spain and France with Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain. He will want to bring in a number of targets to help guide Arsenal back to the Champions League, but he will also be keen to keep a number of his players.

According to reports in The Sun, Emery is preparing to hold personal talks with Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey next week in attempts to get the midfield duo to commit their futures to the club.

The new manager is said to be an admirer of the pair and is determined to have both on board as the Gunners enter a new era with him in charge. The England international’s deal expires next month, whilst the Welshman has been offered a new five-year deal to keep him at the Emirates Stadium.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Arsenal fans in the Tavern will be delighted that the new manager is trying to convince two key players to remain at the club this summer as they prepare to begin life under a new man.

Ramsey and Wilshere have been crucial at times for the Gunners in the past and the locals will be expecting the duo to have influential roles with the Emirates Stadium outfit next season as well.
