Talks ready to be opened with Liverpool likely to seal huge agreement before World Cup

Liverpool will be confident of progressing to the Champions League final following their 5-2 home win against AS Roma and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the side to get the job done.

The Anfield outfit will be heavily favoured ahead of their trip on Wednesday and will be hoping Mohamed Salah will once again be on form, despite proving he is human in their poor showing against Stoke City at the weekend.

The Egyptian has lit up Merseyside with his incredible performances since arriving from the Serie A outfit and it is believed Jurgen Klopp is keen to tie him done to a new deal less than 12 months from joining. According to the Sun, the player is thought to be rewarded with a double-your-money contract to try and ward off the interest from Real Madrid.

The Kop are thought to offer Salah a deal worth £185,000-a-week to end any questions anyone has about the Player of the Year’s future, having netted an astonishing 43 times across all competitions this season. It is believed the attacker is happy at Anfield and would be happy to sign a new deal, with one likely to be completed before the World Cup.
