It's clear that Man City need to find a replacement for Fernandindo. He's still one of their best players, but there's no denying that he's coming toward the end of his career, and the Citizens need to start thinking about the future.

So far, Pep Guardiola's men have fallen short in their attempts to bring a replacement in, but perhaps they could find the perfect player in the form of Tanguy Ndombele. According to the Daily Star, Everton are keen, and he's been rated at £75 million by his club, but at this point, he's perhaps the best man for the job for City.

After all, he offers two things that City need: personal quality and youth.

On the pitch, he's turning into one of Europe's best defensive midfielders, and that's what Man City need. A strong tackler with a decent passing range, Ndombele is very much a modern midfielder, and whilst he's best utilised as a defensive option, he's also capable of moving the ball forward. He's not afraid to get stuck in and pick the ball up, but he's also got the technical ability to move it on at the right time.

Significantly, also, at just 22-years-old, he's a very young player, and so he'd represent the long-term Fernandinho replacement that Man City need so badly.

He's going to be expensive, but Man City have already proven with players like Riyad Mahrez that top talent is worth investing in, especially when they play such a vital role and can hold said position for such a long time.

Bringing him in now would allow him to slowly find his feet in the squad, and he'd be able to learn from Fernandinho.
