The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to 18-year-old Nishan Burkart after he scored a classy hat-trick in Manchester United’s 8-0 win over Higashi Fukuoka in their final group game, ensuring them a place in the last four of the tournament against Arsenal’s youth side.

The win for the young Red Devils will be pleasing for the fans as the club continues their rich history of promoting youth. The club will be delighted to have progressed to the last four of the Dallas Cup and will be aiming to bring home the youth prize for the first time and make themselves the 7th English team to win the competition alongside Fulham, Everton, Nottingham Forest, Liverpool, West Ham and the Royal Navy.
The youth side’s promising performances will no doubt excite those associated with the club as the stars of tomorrow will be hoping that the first team coaches are looking on at their heroics in the hope of giving one of the youngsters a chance at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho doesn’t have a strong history of giving young players a breakthrough, as he’s often accused of looking to the market for a quick fix, however, with the current crop of talents at United the choice could be taken out of the Portuguese tactician’s hands.
Taking that into account, here’s our resident Red Devils’ verdict on Nishan Burkart’s classy treble:
Well done lads
