Burnley fans here in the Tavern are delighted with how their side has performed in the current campaign, as they remain on course for a Europa League place.
Surprisingly, the Clarets have been one of the dark horses in the Premier League so far this season, as Sean Dyche has worked wonders at Turf Moor and looks like taking them to Europe.
Although, there is still a couple of games left in the current Premier League campaign, with a trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal coming up next in a match that could decide who finishes in sixth place.
So, Sean Dyche will need to have his strongest side out for tomorrow’s fixture against the Gunners, as many of our local residents are feeling confident that their side can secure all three points. Therefore, Aaron Lennon may find himself on the substitutes’ bench after putting in a woeful performance last time out, as he has gone off the boil recently with his age beginning to show.
With that being said, Sean Dyche should look to drop Lennon from the starting lineup and offer Georges-Kevin N’Koudou a chance. Here’s who our local punters think should get the nod…
The Frenchman signed on loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, and has been rather impressive in his seven Premier League appearances since making the move.
Indeed, the 23-year-old has struggled to break into the side of late as Aaron Lennon continues to be preferred, but judging by the Englishman’s last performance it may not be long until the on loan winger is inserted into the starting lineup.
There’s no doubt that Georges-Kevin N’Koudou’s pace and power will cause a nervy Arsenal defence all sorts of problems, as he’d love to inflict defeat on his parent club’s rivals in familiar territory.
