‘Thanks in advance, Ed’ – Man Utd fans issue demand to Woodward after Mourinho comments

It’s been a mixed season for the Man Utd fans in the Transfer Tavern, with many supporters hoping that next season will be much more impressive.

Inconsistent form has plagued the Red Devils this term, and that’s something that Jose Mourinho clearly needs to put an end to if he wants to challenge for the Premier League title.

He clearly feels as though he needs further reinforcements, though, with the Portuguese boss recently revealing his summer demands. He’s keen to replace Michael Carrick and potentially Marouane Fellaini too, it’s clear that at least one midfielder is on his shopping list this summer.

Carrick hasn’t played much this season, but the Englishman has been important over the years, whilst Fellaini has typically been Mourinho’s go-to man from the bench when he’s fit.

Replacing them, then, won’t be easy, and that may well suggest why the Man Utd fans over on Reddit are so divided in who they want their team to sign.

Taking to the platform to discuss Mourinho’s comments, fans have been asking for a variety of players, with Wolves star Ruben Neves and Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal amongst the names being called for.

One thing’s for certain – they’re all expecting big things from Ed Woodward this summer.
