Manchester City will once again be expected to go big in the transfer market this summer, as Pep Guardiola puts his own stamp on the squad following a year in charge at the Etihad.
City have had a decent enough season in what many are calling a bit of a transition period for the club, and a few welcome additions in the summer could be the difference between success and failure next season.
Our landlord this week has been sampling a few of our new ales with the City fans this week, and a lot of the talk has been around the summer and which players Guardiola should be looking to target as part of his summer rebuild.
One player who has been mentioned in conversation this week is Paris St Germain right back Serge Aurier, who has had a tremendous season and is valued by Transfermarkt at £12.75m.
At just 24, he is the ideal age to come into the City squad and make a real difference over a number of years, and his athleticism up and down the right hand side will be of real use to City.
He has had ample success with PSG during his time there, and will have the winning mentality which is needed to come into one of the top sides in the Premier League.
Aurier could well be the answer for Pep and his squad for the right back role, and with Pablo Zabaleta ageing and Jesus Navas being nothing like the quality needed, Aurier would be a great signing.
City fans, what do you think? Would you take Aurier? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
