It’s set to be a busy season down at Goodison Park for Everton, who will be hoping to bring home European success having qualified for the Europa League last time out.
The Toffees enjoyed a success season as they secured European football, meaning they’ll have an influx of games that should see them continue their resurgence under manager Ronald Koeman.
The Blues have come a long way under the former Southampton coach already but there’s thought amongst the Toffees fans lining the bar here in the Tavern that next season should be equally as exciting.
And moving forward, there’s one player that the supporters here in the Blue corner of the Tavern can’t stop talking about and that’s £1million-rated striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The young striker burst onto the scene last season and became a massive part of the England U20’s squad that enjoyed so much success in the World Cup this summer.
He’s a player that seems to fit the bill in the Premier League perfectly- a young man with pace, power and a real eye for goal too.
There are other exciting young players coming through the ranks at Goodison Park right now and we could be about to see the next generation of England stars emerging, which is only good news for the Toffees as they look to continue their growth of home-grown talent.
Calvert-Lewin is likely to add to his haul of five goals for the Toffees last time out and with more game-time and European experience set to follow, he’s certainly a young man to keeping an eye out in the future.
And who knows, the name Wayne Rooney has even been hinted by some supporters here in the pub. Exciting times ahead on the Blue side of Merseyside.
Everton fans- are you hopeful about the development of Calvert-Lewin? Leave your thoughts down below!
