The signing of a top forward is going to be a priority for a number of Premier League clubs this summer, and our landlord thinks that for Liverpool and Man Utd – Kasper Dolberg should be the player to target…
Both clubs will certainly be keen to sign a top forward. From Man Utd’s perspective, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, whilst Wayne Rooney appears to be on the way out too given his lack of action this season. Meanwhile, Liverpool will also be in the market for a forward – with Jurgen Klopp seemingly not keen to entrust Daniel Sturridge.
Dolberg, then, may well be an option for both clubs – and it is easy to see why. On a basic level, he has bagged 20 goals so far this season – highlighting his lethality in front of goal. Significantly, these have been spread out between the Dutch top flight, Europa League and Champions League – indicating that regardless of competition, he will provide goals.
On top of that, whilst that would be a decent record for a seasoned veteran, Dolberg is just 19-years-old – with several years ahead of him in which he can continue his development and reach his potential. For both Man Utd and Liverpool, he would represent a long-term solution to their attacking woes – whilst also bringing proven quality.
For Man Utd, they may well get a taste of how good Dolberg is in the Europa League final should they make it there, and our landlord thinks that he will be out to impress.
