We have been hearing lots of good things about new Wigan Athletic signing Victor Moses, his tipping for the top and how Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona were supposedly tracking his progress at Crystal Palace.
Yet what can this young talent bring to the Premier League?
The Nigerian born 19yr old made his way through the Crystal Palace youth ranks and was clearly a special talent.
In the under 14’s side alone Moses managed an incredible 50 goals in one season. Moses eventually broke into the Palace first team in 2007 aged just 16.
Whilst being known for his ability to play in numerous positions, most prominently the left wing or striker, it is unknown as of yet where Wigan Manager Roberto Martinez sees his best position.
What Moses brings to the Premier League is speed, strength and flair, rarely seen in an Englishmen. His technical ability is extremely impressive for one so young. Having fled Nigeria aged 11 and the murder of his parents, Moses can be extremely proud of how far he has come. The move to Wigan was completely the right for him, no sitting on the bench for Moses, he will gain plenty of playing time at the DW stadium and that can only improve him.
Beleaguered Crystal Palace boss Neill Warnock has repeatedly stated that Moses has what it takes not only to make it in the Premier League, but at the top of the game.
His 11 goals in 69 appearances at Palace do not do him justice as to the improvement he has made, particularly this season. A run earlier this season of 5 goals in 8 games for Palace brought Moses to the attention of many a club.
