Everton

The classy French attacking star who can give Everton new impetus going into 2018

Everton are picking up under manager Sam Allardyce following a poor start to the Premier League season, and will be hoping January can bring them plenty of points and possibly a few new players in the transfer window.

Despite spending plenty in the summer, there’s still been a distinct lack of goals, and the Toffees seem to lack sort of out and out striker in the squad, with Dom Calvert-Lewin and Wayne Rooney generally filling the role for their club.

Our landlord here in the Tavern thinks there’s a few players out there who can help the Toffees add more goals to performances, and he’s been keeping a close eye on Lyon star Nabil Fekir this season, who has smashed in 13 goals already in Ligue 1.

The Frenchman is looking like another tremendous talent to emerge off the seemingly never ending conveyor belt of quality players produced in France, and it surely won’t be long before some of Europe’s top clubs come sniffing around the attacker.

He might be another who is not an out and out forward, but his quality means that Everton will benefit greatly from what he will bring to the club, with his pace, attacking prowess, and ability to score and create something which Sam Allardyce will be delighted to bring in to his squad.

He’ll cost some money, but Fekir could be exactly the sort of player who brings Everton up a level and fires them towards European football over the coming seasons.
