Manchester United fans were able to enjoy a victory yesterday – something that has been in short supply so far in 2014.
The 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion won’t go down as the most memorable Premier League win for David Moyes, but it was certainly important when you consider the results that had gone before.
Results that were in fact so poor, they forced the Scot to pen an open letter to the club’s supporters apologising for the results and the nature of the performances this season, whilst offering reassurances that he remains the man to turn things around.
This season has been all but written off by Manchester United fans, with the club trailing fourth placed Manchester City by nine points – whereas their city rivals also have two games in hand.
Moyes’ biggest test will be when the summer transfer window comes around.
After his failures in the market last summer – which saw Moyes miss out on a host of midfield targets – the pressure will really be on for the former Everton boss to spend big and bring in world class players to help turn the clubs fortunes around.
With that in mind, we take a look at what we consider to be the ‘dream starting XI’ for Manchester United next season.
