Tottenham’s final away game of the season ended in disappointment, as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at Upton Park on Saturday.
Tim Sherwood’s side had little to play for, with a sixth place finish still in their own hands despite a poor display in East London.
Younes Kaboul saw red, Harry Kane put through his own net, and Paulinho and Emmanuel Adebayor embarrassingly failed to block Stewart Downing’s free kick after both flinching in the wall.
The jury is still out on whether Tim Sherwood will keep his job for the start of next season, despite the fact he has the best win percentage of any Tottenham manager in Premier League history since taking over in December – as he will continue to tell anyone who will listen.
Recent reports have suggested Spurs have been sounding out Ajax coach Frank De Boer about the prospect of taking over from Sherwood in the summer, whilst Mauricio Pochettino is an outside bet after a fantastic season in charge of Southampton.
