The experienced Italian international who’d be a superb addition to the squad at Arsenal in January

Arsenal will be looking to get the January transfer window out of the way as once again big rumours swill around the futures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is used to it by now, but he must be making plans in his head should he lose his star duo, and our landlord here at the Tavern thinks there is a big chance he could end up losing one, or both of his attacking talents.

However, there’s other areas of the squad we think could do with adding to at the Emirates, and one position in particular that could be strengthened is in the wing back areas, especially if injuries were to occur to the likes of Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac.

One such player who jumps to mind as someone who’d be a superb addition to the Arsenal ranks is current Inter Milan and experienced Italian international, Antonio Candreva.

The flying wide-man has been in excellent form once again this term and has made his presence known, contributing eight assists already as his form shows no sign of slowing down with age.

At 30-years-old, the experienced international could be a superb addition for Arsenal as they look to shore up in certain areas, and he would no doubt have a positive effect on the likes of Bellerin, who are still young enough to learn more about their trade.

Candreva would be an excellent addition, and is someone Arsene Wenger should seriously consider making a move for.

There have been 534 goals scored in the 199 Premier League matches played so far this season. That, dear friends, is an average of 2.68 per game.
