The Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are very keen to see this happen…
Whilst the Hazard family is most well known for Chelsea star Eden, there is another member of the family that has been proving himself on the continent as of late.
Eden’s younger brother, Thorgan, previously of Chelsea and currently of Borussia Monchengladbach, has been making waves in the Bundesliga over the last few years.
Thorgan joined Borussia from Chelsea in 2015 after a year on loan with the club, and has made nearly 60 league appearances so far.
Having fully settled into life in Germany, Hazard has been very impressive in recent months, and that has inevitably lead to speculation within the Tavern regarding a potential move away.
A few of the Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern had been speculating that the Blues might continue the trend and go back in for their former player, and Bild have now revealed an interesting detail that hypothetical deal.
They have reported that the Blues have a buy-back option for Hazard, meaning that the club can pay a set fee and immediately bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
Interestingly, Bild note that that deal is set to expire at the end of 2016, and that the priced to bring Thorgan to London is around €15 million – a bargain in the modern day market.
Hazard has been in outstanding form in Germany thus far, and our landlord thinks that bringing him to London could prove a masterstroke.
Could Thorgan’s arrival be enough to tempt Eden to stay at Chelsea long term?
If the Blues want to bring Thorgan back to Chelsea – they are running out of time.
