It’s been a mixed season for both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur but the Red Devils fans in the bar must have the bragging rights having brought home two pieces of silverware!
Whilst improving yet again, the pressure is beginning to build on the shoulders of Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino, who needs to start bringing home the silverware.
It’s all well and good playing well and getting in and amongst the big sides in the division but if Spurs are going to be taken seriously going forward, they need trophies.
And one man we think would make a cracking addition to their squad this summer is Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw, who’s future at Old Trafford is in real doubt.
The former Southampton starlet has struggled for game-time having returned from injury earlier this campaign but looking ahead, he’s not thought to be a part of Jose Mourinho’s long-term plans, especially having found himself on the receiving end of some pretty public criticism.
But he’s a talented young player that needs game and the promise of a manager that will turn him into a better player but at United, that isn’t looking likely in the slightest.
But with rumours circulating that Danny Rose could be on his way out of Tottenham in the coming weeks, Shaw would make for a like-for-like replacement.
He’s quick, hard-working and reads the game well. But what he needs more than anything is a manager that believes in him going forward and one that can offer him enough minutes to get back into the England setup sooner rather than later.
