Current total after eight weeks is +£66
Last week’s bet went down to a sparkling Everton side and a rarely impressive Yakubu. West Ham and Wolves did the business for me on Saturday by drawing, meaning Sunday’s Merseyside derby was still relevant to my weekend punt.
I don’t often bet on one match Saturday and the other Sunday because if the Saturday game doesn’t come in the Sunday game is null and void. It almost feels like you’re losing more money as you’ve got a bet on a Sunday game and it doesn’t matter whether it comes in or not.
The annoying thing is that I was originally going to bet Everton to win. That was until my father convinced me otherwise. I told him if the odds were right I was going to back Everton, to which he said: “No chance, Liverpool always do Everton in the derby.” Which is actually quite true, so I bet the draw instead. Pfft. C’est La Vie.
On to this week then, there were quite a few games I was tempted to bet on this weekend. Some pretty juicy odds on offer. I plumped for this…
West Brom vs. Fulham DRAW 9/4 with Sunderland vs. Aston Villa DRAW 9/4
This double get’s you better than 8/1.
West Brom is flying high at the moment, only two points behind Man United. Despite that, they’re still an average side. Fulham lost their first league game last week but have been exceptionally good at drawing (football matches, not like pictures or cartoons). The Albion are likely to be missing top scorer Peter Odemwingie, while Fulham’s Andy Johnson looks set to play his first game since January. Fulham are a slightly better side, but West Brom has been good at home. Draw all over it.
Sunderland are always dangerous going forward with Darren Bent, that’s why I like to back them against the top sides. Villa has been pretty good under Gerard Houllier and I expect them to pick up where they left off last week and get a draw at the Stadium of Light.
For Christ’s sake give me a bit of luck this weekend!
Good luck gambling and no I don’t reimburse you if you put the bet on and it loses
