It’s been a tough season in London for West Ham United but there’s hope with a big pre-season and summer of investment, things will be better next time out.
The Hammers faithful that have been lining the bar here in the Tavern all season have had their ups and downs but now the club are safe, the pressure is on Slaven Bilic to bring in the right players over the summer.
And one man we think would be well worth making a move for in the coming weeks is released Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, who’s time at the Etihad has come to an end.
Caballero leaves City having played regularly under Pep Guardiola this season, particularly when Claudio Bravo was on the sidelines.
But now he’s a free agent, he’s certainly the sort of player that would add strength to this Hammers squad. They have Darren Randolph and Adrian at their disposal but we think moving one of those on for a considerable cash sum would be well worth their doing if they could bring the Argentine in on a free transfer.
Cabellero has done more than his fair share over the past couple of years, particularly in City’s more successful cup runs and there’s little doubting he has the quality to continue at this level and help West Ham up the table.
Of course, it will be a question of wage demands but there’s thought that if a deal could be agreed, Caballero could make a cracking signing for the Hammers this summer.
West Ham fans- do you think the Argentine would make a good signing this summer? Leave your thoughts down below!
