Arsenal will be hoping to add some new players to their ranks over the next six months or so, and with January right around the corner, it represents a chance for Arsene Wenger to dip into the market and look to add some quality to his squad.
The Gunners were held to a 0-0 draw by West Ham in the week, and while not the end of the world, results like this are marking inconsistencies in their game which means once again it’s going to be a top four spot at best for the Londoners.
Our landlord here in the Tavern is adamant that Arsenal need to add some quality players in January if they are to keep pace with the likes of Man City at the top of the pile, and one player who’s been catching his eye over the last year is Leverkusen speedster Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican winger is forging a real reputation for himself as one of the star turns in Europe, and at just 20-years-old, he is already looking like he is destined for the top of the game if his performances continue as they have been.
Bailey is quick, tricky, and has a keen eye for goal. Four goals and an equal amount of assists this term also put to bed any panic about his final product, and it’s surely only a matter of time before the big boys come sniffing around the youngster.
He would fit in ideally at Arsenal, and is a real talent worth keeping an eye on for the next few seasons.
Gunners fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
