The summer transfer business Wenger must complete at Arsenal to lay foundations for the future

These have been tough times down at the Emirates for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger, who will hope next season turns out better than this.

The Gunners failed to qualify for the Champions League and it’s left the future’s of a number of star players up in the air, some of whom won’t be buoyed by the prospect of playing in the Europa League next season.

But there’s still the small matter of bringing in some big names over the summer months and one man we think would be a superb addition to the squad is Henry Onyekuru, who currently played for Eupen in Belgium.

The Nigerian forward has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in European football and after watching him bang in goal-after-goal last season, it’s easy to see why the Gunners have been linked with a move for his services.

And moving forward, he’s exactly the sort of player that in a handful of years time, might be a real star.

Arsenal fans are thinking about the here and now and that’s all well and good. Of course, big-name signings are what will turn the future around short-term but what the club also need are starlets for the future.

Despite the early concern, Rob Holding is looking promising whilst the likes of Alex Iwobi continue to develop nicely too.

Onyekuru is quick, has a real eye for goal and dreams of playing at the Emirates for years to come.

If that doesn’t inspire a move, nothing will.

Gunners fans- do you want to see a move for Onyekuru this summer? Leave your thoughts down below!
