The Premier League returns this weekend after yet another dull international break and it is hard to think of a more entertaining way to start proceedings than with Arsenal versus Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow lunchtime.
Arsenal have gone managed just five points from their opening three games, beating Crystal Palace 2-1 with a last minute Aaron Ramsey on the opening day before consecutive draws away to Everton and Leicester City.
Arsene Wenger has since completed the surprise deadline day signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United and the England man is in line for his Arsenal debut tomorrow at 12:45.
City meanwhile will be looking to bounce back following their shock 1-0 home defeat to Stoke City a fortnight ago.
The champions had looked in superb form prior to that result, comfortably beating Newcastle United 2-0 at St. James’ Park and running out 3-1 winners in the home clash against last season’s runners-up Liverpool.
Tomorrow’s game will be interesting on so many levels with City looking to bounce back, Arsenal looking to halt a run of two games without a win and the possibility of City’s Eliaquim Mangala making his debut in addition to Welbeck.
Ahead of the lunchtime kick-off, punters at the Football Transfer Tavern have been discussing their combined Arsenal and Manchester City eleven – this is what was decided on.
