The two wonderkids Tottenham fans will absolutely adore by the end of 2019

It’s no secret that Tottenham have struggled to bring in players during their recent transfer windows.

With the new stadium taking priority of funding, Pochettino has been left with the bare bones of a squad, hampered by injury, to mount a successful bid for silverware this season. And, to be fair, he’s not doing a bad job at all.

Tottenham find themselves in 3rd place only five points behind leaders Manchester City and Liverpool, despite missing Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and a whole host of other starters at any given point during the season.

What we suppose is the silver lining to Tottenham’s case is that the lack of investment in the market has opened up an opportunity for their youth talent to make a name for themselves in the senior squad. Free of charge.

With that in mind, here are two wonderkids Tottenham fans will absolutely adore by the end of 2019…

Troy Parrott

Relatively unknown talent Troy Parrott could well be the next man to fill the gaps in the senior squad, following a very impressive start to his Tottenham career.

The forward, who made his way over to the academy back in 2017 from Irish side Belvedere FC, dons a record of 14 goals and 5 assists in 21 appearances at youth level. And, according to the Mirror, has been declared Ireland’s “best prospect since Robbie Keane”.

Oliver Skipp

The name Oliver Skipp has been floating around for some time now as one of the club’s brightest young talents, and he’s definitely done enough to show us why.

The young English midfielder made his full Tottenham against Burnley securing an impressive 75 minutes before being substituted off. He handled the speed and intensity of the game well, dominating the defensive area of the midfield and masterfully distributing the ball out to his teammates.

Skipp has picked up a bit of a reputation as a solid player, willing to throw his weight around and engage in physical battles with the opposition, and he’s already shown signs of his trademark approach in the minutes he’s played for the senior squad.

An incredibly very exciting prospect who looks ready to take on the challenge.
