Bournemouth are quickly becoming one of the most established Premier League outfits we’ve seen in years and plenty of that must come down to the boss, Eddie Howe.
The young Englishman has galvanised the football down on the South Coast, remaining loyal to the Cherries cause as his side consistently turn in enough good performances to stay in the division.
Moving forward though, Bournemouth will be wanting to do more than just secure survival and one of these years, Howe must be looking to make a push for the top-ten and maybe even the European places.
And there’s one man we think would be a cracking addition to their squad this summer after his release by Manchester City and that’s £4million-rated defender Bacary Sagna.
The veteran French defender has seen it all at this level and at 34-years-old, he’s still got the power in his legs to make an impact at a club like Bournemouth.
The Cherries have some perfectly good stars of their own on the South Coast but to really make that step-up, you get the impression they need that little bit of star quality that has really been there and done it.
Sagna could be perfect to bring that sort of experience into a squad that hasn’t needed to think about European success. Until now.
Bournemouth fans- would Sagna make a good addition over the summer? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
