The Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern think they've got one of the best attacking line-ups in the league right now and, arguably, one of the best they've had in years.

With the likes of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho causing havoc for opposition defences this season, the Reds are looking like title challengers once again under Jurgen Klopp.

The Liverpool fans here by the bar love to talk about the attacking powers they've seen wear their famous shirt.

The likes of Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and, more recently, Luis Suarez have all left their mark and they're hoping this current crop can do something similar.

That hasn't always been the case at Anfield though, they've had some terrible strikers in their time too and our landlord reckons above all this THREE are the worst to have ever led the line for the Merseyside club.....

Milan Jovanovic

He is only the second Serb to represent Liverpool

You know your career hasn't gone well when you're viewed as as popular a signing for Liverpool as Paul Konchesky and Christian Poulsen.

Roy Hodgson really did have a shocker in the summer of 2010 as he made poor signing after poor signing, with the left-winger Jovanovic one of the worst.

Safe to say he didn't last long at the club.

El-Hadji Diouf

El-Hadji Diouf - CF

No-one really likes El-Hadji Diouf because ultimately, he said a lot of things that he shouldn't have done and was absolutely woeful to watch on the pitch.

The Senegalese forward was signed by the Reds as the missing piece in their title winning jigsaw, but in actual fact he was the biggest example of a square peg in a round hole.

Dreadful.

Andriy Voronin

Andriy Voronin

If you're going to boast a bright blonde ponytail you'd better make sure you're good but the Ukrainian missed that memo.

He was the epitome of Liverpool's shocking attempts to find a back-up striker for Fernando Torres and sees the likes of David N'Gog join him on that list.

Voronin was far worse though, given his reputation, and was a real flop.
