Everton would have been hoping for all three points against Huddersfield Town yesterday as they now head into the international break.
Marco Silva has worked wonders at Goodison Park this season, both on the transfer front and in competitive matches in the Premier League. But, the Toffees did suffer a setback on the injury front recently, as according to the Liverpool Echo’s news and transfer live blog (02/09/18, 09:39) (via fitness expert Ben Dinnery’s personal Twitter account), Theo Walcott has suffered a rib injury and he will be assessed in the next few days.
Theo Walcott was forced off the field at 57 minutes suffering with an injury.
Worryingly, that leaves the Blues with another prominent name to add to their list of walking wounded and suspended.
The Toffees’ manager revealed that Walcott suffered a rib injury, and said he will be assessed in the next few days.
Theo Walcott has been superb for the Toffees so far this season, but it now looks as if they’ll be without him for a period of time as the Englishman is set to be assessed. Supporters and the first team staff at Everton will be anxiously waiting to see the result of the assessment that’s yet to take place.
