Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very excited about the latest crop of youngsters coming through the ranks and are hoping to see them for many years to come gracing the Anfield turf.
Liverpool at the moment seems to have a decent pool of young British talent to coming through, who’ll be all looking to emulate the likes of Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp looks as if he will give youth a chance in his team, which can only benefit everybody involved.
Indeed, there are a couple in particular that are really making the regulars excited at the thought of them breaking into this current Liverpool team, one that surely any youngster would be eager to get involved in.
In order for these two players to grow, a time gaining much needed first team minutes and experience is vital at this stage of their careers and under the expert eye of Klopp, they will benefit hugely.
With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at TWO of Anfield’s youngsters that will be excited the Kopites already…
The England striker won the U17 World Cup last year and was the competition’s leading scorer, seriously exciting our resident Reds. With that in mind, many have tipped Brewster to go on to big things and a few first team starts could be just the thing he needs to keep his early career momentum going.
With a keen eye for goal, Brewster will certainly give Klopp a different problem to consider, although for him to move above any of Klopp’s current first team strikers, he has to take his chance when given it. With Liverpool needing to fight on all fronts next season, the punters propping the bar would love to see Brewster given a go.
The goal getting right winger could be used to reshape Klopp’s forward line. The 20-year-old Welshman has helped himself to seven goals in 11 games this season already for his loan side Hull City, and a couple of assists to aid the Championship team. Right now, Liverpool are absolutely loving their wingers.
With the creative play of Coutinho now in Barcelona and a shift in the teams play ever since, Klopp will want someone to come in and put his fair share of goals into the team and Wilson could be that player.
