It’s about time the Gunners put some real signings into the lineup, and after losing Alexis Sanchez to rivals Manchester United, Wenger needed to bring in top-class players. He got one as part of the Sanchez deal in Henrikh Mkhitaryan but Arsenal needed more.
Many of the regulars believe they are still a defensive midfielder short of being a force to be reckoned with, but they’ve definitely taken a step in the right direction this January.
Wenger hasn’t been shy about letting players out of the door, with many fringe players leaving to other clubs around Europe. However, there will be a couple that wish they would have gone to enhance their personal chances of securing a World Cup spot this summer for their country.
