Everton fans here in the Tavern are desperate for their side to challenge for Europe next season, after being knocked out in the group stage in the current campaign.
Sam Allardyce has lots of improvements to make over the course of the summer transfer window, as his side have struggled for consistency and don’t look like troubling any of the big guns. And, with European football being the main aim for the next campaign, a number of additions will be expected in what will turn out to be a busy few months.
Although, the Merseyside club does have a promising line of youngsters who are desperate to get their career up and running, with an opportunity in the Premier League possibly just around the corner.
So, these TWO Everton wonderkids have it all to prove…
Nottingham Forest were flying high earlier on in the current campaign and this man had a huge part to play in this, as he kept on finding himself on the scoresheet at the City Ground.
However, it looks as if he will return to Goodison Park once his loan expires at the end of the season, as Forest manager Aitor Karanka hasn’t given him many opportunities since taking over at the club.
So, it remains to be seen as to whether the midfielder will be giving a regular first-team spot next season, with the club already having a lot of attack-minded players in their ranks.
The 20-year-old has spent the second half of the season on loan at German giants Borussia Dortmund after being overlooked by manager Sam Allardyce.
However, this looks to be a big mistake as the striker has been impressive during his time in Germany, as he has managed to bag himself a number of goals and assists in what has been a rather successful spell.
Indeed, if Allardyce has any sense then he should look to incorporate him into the first-team on a regular basis next season. Although, the youngster may still need to prove that he has what it takes to lead the line for the Toffees, as the club paid a hefty price to bring Cenk Tosun to Goodison Park back in January.Like what the TT have on offer?
