Liverpool are primed and ready to capture their first Premier League title and finally put to bed what has been a massive monkey on their backs so to speak.
The Reds are playing some superb football under Jurgen Klopp and are rightly sitting top of the table in the Premier League, despite dropping points against closest rivals Manchester City a few weeks back.
An FA Cup exit at the hands of Wolves also highlighted some problems within the squad, and if injuries were to hit the Reds in a big way, then there is every chance they could chuck away their slender advantage and allow City to make up the ground to retain their title.
That’s why we here in the Tavern think that some of the Liverpool squad need to step up to the plate somewhat and up their performances to ensure they do not slip away from the top spot.
With that in mind, we’ve looked at TWO Liverpool players who Jurgen Klopp will want to see more from in the title run-in…
The big money summer signing started the season very well but has dipped somewhat since that excellent first impression.
Keita is a handful when he is on his game, and Klopp will be hoping the energetic midfielder will finally come to the fore in the coming months.
With games coming thick and fast, Keita has a big role to play as Liverpool go in search of their first title win.
Another summer signing who has taken his time to settle, Fabinho has at least started to show signs of how good he can be.
Liverpool and Klopp need him to maintain these standards in the coming months, and he will have a key role to play in any success they achieve.
Fabinho is a quality act, we just need to see more of it.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
