Freddie Woodman could easily establish himself as a contender for the goalkeeping jersey at Newcastle United next season, as he has been in fine form at Scottish side Aberdeen since joining on loan in January.
Indeed, the youngster will definitely be a future star at St James’ Park, with a breakthrough season possibly just around the corner.
So, with Martin Dubravka staking his claim on the No 1 spot in the current campaign, Woodman will need to prove his worth over the course of the summer, as an impressive run of form in pre-season could help him become a regular first-team member.
The 19-year-old is looking to make a name for himself at Newcastle United, with next season possibly offering him a chance to enjoy some regular first-team minutes.
Interestingly, the youngster was included in the Newcastle squad that went to the training base in Spain, and after working his socks off in his home country it’s fair to say that he has a very bright future ahead of him.
Although, the skillful and pacy winger still has it all to prove as Benitez continues to keep tabs, with an impressive pre-season possibly launching him into the first-team ranks at St James’ Park.
