These 2 players definitely shouldn’t start for Man Utd after the international break – agreed?

Despite finishing second in the Premier League last season, Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd are looking like a shadow of their former selves at present. They’ve already lost a couple of games, and in general, their quality has been well below expectations.

Given the fine form of many teams around them, like Chelsea and Liverpool, Man Utd are already playing catch-up in the English top flight, and they’ve done nothing so far to suggest that they’re up to the challenge.

It’s painfully obvious that some major changes need to come at Old Trafford, starting with the team selection. Many players simply have not been good enough so far, and whilst some have impressed, the negatives far outweigh the positives for Jose Mourinho and Man Utd.

With that said, These 2 players definitely shouldn’t start for Man Utd after the international break – agreed?

Victor Lindelof

Jose Mourinho has spent millions trying to improve Man Utd’s defence, with Victor Lindelof a big money purchase made by the Portuguese. However, it just hasn’t worked out for them so far – and Lindelof is looking like Man Utd’s worst signing in recent memory.

Given Mourinho’s lack of options, he’s been a fairly regular member of the squad this season, but Lindelof has failed to deliver on all counts.

A lack of defensive quality and consistent mistakes have made him a terrible option for Man Utd to call upon, and one that Jose Mourinho would be wise to move on from.

He simply isn’t good enough.

Fred

Fred came to Man Utd with a strong pedigree, but thus far, he’s failed to make an impact. The Brazilian is clearly a very talented player, but so far, it justs hasn’t happened.

Perhaps it’s a case of too much, too soon for the midfielder, with Jose Mourinho instilling him as a key player from the start of the season, but either way, it just hasn’t worked out so far.

Over time, he’ll likely regain his place, but in the short-term, it makes little sense to persist with a player that, at present, simply isn’t working. With Man Utd struggling, it makes little sense to continue to give him a chance right now.

Given the options Mourinho has, perhaps he should rotate.
