Chelsea have arguably one of the best strikers in the Premier League – if not Europe – at their dispense now in the form of Spaniard Diego Costa.
The former Atletico Madrid man has re-found the sparkling form of his debut Chelsea season in which he scored 20 league goals, netting 5 already this campaign in what has been an hit-and-miss start to the season for Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.
The Brazil-born striker looks to be finally be the man to fill the super-sized boots of Chelsea legend, another striker the club have been fortunate enough to offer their services at the Bridge over the past decade.
Drogba was named the club’s ‘best ever player’ after his Champion’s League winning penalty in 2012 as he forever etched his name into the annals of Blue’s history by scoring 164 goals in two trophy-full spells at Stamford Bridge.
The pair – Drogba and Costa – are just two of the tens of striker Chelsea have possessed over the past decade, and they are the examples of the best without a doubt. However, with the best of course – and rather unfortunately – comes the worst.
