Arsenal are undergoing a complete change owing to the departure of Arsene Wenger, with Unai Emery’s hard work going to lead to some major alternations at the Emirates.
So far, things haven’t gone entirely to plan, but Emery was always only going to be judged on the long-term game, rather than just the first few weeks of the season.
The Spaniard has already made some huge decisions. He’s stuck with Petr Cech thus far, whilst he’s also given a lot of minutes to Matteo Guendouzi.
According to the Daily Mail, he’s also made another big decision regarding one of Arsenal’s most talented young players. The publication reports that Emery has personally vetoed the idea of letting Emile Smith-Rowe leave the club on loan, with the manager planning to utilise him in cup games this season.
Emery is clearly a big fan of the attacker, and he repaid that faith over the summer with good performances. Now, it seems as though he’s earnt a role in the Arsenal squad this season.
Naturally, Arsenal fans are happy about the news, with Gunners always eager to see a homegrown player make it at the Emirates.
