The future of Ademola Lookman has dominated the Everton headlines in recent days with the European transfer window drawing to a close, but it appears that the 20-year-old will remain an Everton player for now despite the strong rumours linking him away from Merseyside.
When Lookman broke into the senior squad last season it seemed abundantly clear that the Toffees had produced yet another fine young talent.
However, he struggled to break through under Sam Allardyce and, in line with the growing trend in English football, he decided to move to the Bundesliga in search of first-team football opportunities.
During a short-term loan spell Lookman managed to score 5 goals and provide 4 assists from just 11 appearances for the club.
His success in Germany has consequently made Lookman the subject of a lengthy transfer saga involving RB Leipzig who have expressed an interest in bringing him back to the club.
But journalist Alan Myers took to Twitter earlier today to reveal that Lookman is more than likely to remain at Goodison Park beyond deadline day.

Naturally, some disgruntled supporters who believe Lookman has been unprofessional during the saga have expressed their displeasure at the news, but there are plenty of fans who are willing to forgive the hot prospect and welcome him into the first-team with open arms.
And based on the promise he has demonstrated during his career so far it’s difficult to blame them.
Here’s what the fans have had to say in response to Myers on Twitter…
Might as well start him tomorrow

Good news, especially as it shows we've stuck to our guns right from the off

As long as he wants to stay and right for a place. I'd start him tomorrow if fit
