Ben Woodburn has risen to fame quite rapidly this year, after breaking Michael Owen’s record for being the youngest goalscorer for Liverpool. He also scored his first international goal for Wales, bagging the winner against Austria on his debut, so it’s safe to say that Woodburn has had an eventful 2017 already.
Largely having to settle for games in the Carabao Cup before the Reds were knocked out of the competition by Leicester City, chances have come few and far between for the 18-year-old.
Reds boss Klopp thinks a spell out on loan will give the Welshman the first team minutes he needs to develop. Although with his old national boss Chris Coleman taking over at Sunderland recently, it could turn out, that possibly the Championship is a likely destination and our punters think there’s a chance he’ll end up at the Stadium of Light.
Still, you’d imagine there are many suitors for the young protégé’s services.
