These two players should follow Peter Crouch to Chelsea if he joins this month

Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping that their side can cement their place in the top-four, after a minor slip-up saw competitors gain some ground.  

Antonio Conte’s side have had a season that many fans would like to forget, as they still learn to regret the sale of former star Diego Costa, the player whose goals single-handedly brought the title to Stamford Bridge last campaign.

Indeed, after bringing in the likes of Alvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi things just haven’t been the same for the Blues, as they continue on in search of a prolific striker good enough to lead their line.

Well, there’s certainly been some rumours surrounding Chelsea and a striker after Andy Carroll was heavily linked with a loan switch, and as if things couldn’t get even more out of the ordinary, they just did. Chelsea have reportedly turned their attention to acquiring former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, a player who’s not shown a goalscoring threat since his days at Anfield, yet somehow has managed to draw the attention of the champions.

So, after Antonio Conte picked his name out of a hat at Stamford Bridge, it looks as if the robot will be coming back into fashion with his four goals this season doing enough for the Blues’ attention.
