Spurs ended the season on a high despite losing out on the Premier League title, and once again showed themselves to be one of the top clubs in Europe with their consistently devastating attacking plays.
Their manager Mauricio Pochettino has developed a reputation as a class act and one of the brightest young managers in the game, and he will surely be looking to lead his club to the title next season.
Our landlord agrees with the notion that they can do it, but he thinks they need to add a few more quality players to the ranks first.
One man he thinks Spurs could turn to is Atletico Madrid sensation Angel Correa, who is valued at £15.3m by Transfermarkt.
The tricky winger is a class act, and can run ragged even the best of full backs when he is in full flight. He has become a key component of Diego Simeone’s squad at the Vicente Calderon, and his performances often reflect the high regard he is held in.
However, Spurs could do with some more natural pace and trickery down the wings, and Correa brings just that.
With the club now back in the Champions League regularly it seems, Correa could be tempted by a move to the English game and the riches it brings, and Correa would certainly be a player who would leave a lot of Premier League defences on high alert should he make the move over.
