Liverpool will be hoping to secure a Champions League place this season (at the time of writing), following a successful season under Jurgen Klopp has seen them finally sustain a challenge for the top four.
While the club have fallen well short of challenging for the title, the Reds can take plenty of heart from finishing in the all important top four places, and will be looking to press on next season and improve even further if they can.
Our landlord has been spending some time with the Liverpool fans here in the Tavern this week, and they are all in agreement that the club could well do with a few more goals from their strikers if they are to really challenge next year.
One man who the club could look to bring in to help solve this could be German international Andre Schurrle, currently valued at £19.55m by Transfermarkt.
The forward is still remarkably only 26-years-old, and has become a mainstay of the Borussia Dortmund squad over the past few seasons.
His time in England before with Chelsea was hindered by a lack of game time and opportunity being given to him, but he has always been a talented player, and his ability to impress in the Bundesliga and for his country has always made him standout.
Schurrle has the ability to play up front on his own or as a pair, but can crucially also play in the wide forward positions, giving Liverpool an excellent option should they decide to sign him.
Liverpool fans, what do you think? Would Schurrle be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
