The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern think that their side’s upcoming game with Real Madrid could define their season…
Real Madrid will pose a very stern test for the Lilywhites, and it will take all of their quality to salvage anything from the game.
Unfortunately, ahead of the game Mauricio Pochettino has provided some bad news for the Lilywhites, revealing that Ben Davies is unlikely to make the clash, leaving the Argentine with a selection dilemma. Davies has, of course, been crucial this season, and with Danny Rose also not yet at 100%, it could leave him with very little choice in the role.
One player that the fans in the Transfer Tavern have suggested could feature is Kyle Walker-Peters. Though more comfortably on the right, Walker-Peters has looked good when given a chance under Mauricio Pochettino, and he has proven that he can hold his own.
Is it ideal to face a relatively inexperienced player feature against one of Europe’s best attacks? Certainly not, but what other choice does the club have? They could play an attacker, such as Son Heung-min, but his defensive frailties will surely be exposed by Ronaldo and co?
Should Walker-Peters play in the role? Let us know below!
