This £31.5m-rated attacker could be the perfect January addition at Tottenham – do you agree?

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern think that Pochettino’s squad is close to perfect. They’ve proven this term that they can go up against any side in Europe and compete – as they did against Real Madrid a few weeks ago. That said, a top team can always get better, and our landlord thinks that he has identified a player that could improve Tottenham’s team significantly.

The player in question is Julian Draxler, currently of PSG. For all of Tottenham’s attacking talents, one thing that they lack is a driving, technical, skilful attacker. A player like Eden Hazard of Chelsea, for example. Julian Draxler could certainly be that man.

Electric pace, skill and goalscoring are just a few of the qualities that Draxler brings to the table. He has proven his worth both in Germany and France as one of Europe’s best-attacking midfielders, and he isn’t a player that Tottenham should ignore. What’s more, at 24-years-old, he’s a player that could help lead the Tottenham attack for the best part of a decade, offering Pochettino a genuine solution to this problem long-term.

He has had a tough time of it at PSG, but that could work out in Tottenham’s favour. It certainly doesn’t take away from his quality, that he hasn’t played much. Rather, it speaks volumes about how good PSG are more than anything. Whenever he has played he has looked good, particularly in Europe, and so Tottenham could more than use a player of his experience and quality.

The German won’t come cheaply, but Pochettino could be the man to turn him from the £31.5 million that he’s currently rated at by Transfer Markt into a player of incredible quality.
