Wolves have taken to the Premier League like a duck to water this season, with Nuno Santo's men firmly on track for a well earned top half finish.

With a bit of luck and potentially some additions during the January window, Wolves could well see themselves firmly established as a key Premier League player, and it would be fully deserved on their showings so far this term.

However, we here at the Tavern think a few new additions are needed in terms of squad depth, and we think Wolves should look closer to home into the Championship to add some strength beyond the first XI.

And one player we believe would be a superb addition is West Brom defender Craig Dawson, who has once again been in fine form for the Baggies as they press ahead with their promotion hopes in the second tier.

Rated at £7.2m by Transfermarkt, Dawson has long been a fine defender for Albion, and he is easily good enough to warrant a place in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old's all round defensive game is sound and solid, and crucially, he brings goals to the ranks too.

Wolves do look short at the back at times with their three in defence formation, and signing someone like Dawson who could play in the middle, right centre back, or even as a wing back if needed, would be a shrewd addition for the Molineux club.
