The Cherries are in the Transfer Tavern today and they are pleading for Eddie Howe to try and keep hold of this Spurs and Everton target.
It is looking very likely that either Everton or Tottenham will be luring the Norwegian forward, Joshua King away from Bournemouth.
The left midfielder turned striker by Howe had an impressive season during the 2016/17 campaign which saw him score 16 goals and get two assists in 36 league games.
That works out as contributing to a goal every two games which isn’t bad considering he’s only just moved to a main striker position.
In the real world, the lure of Everton or Tottenham will most likely be too much for Josh King to turn down and that is understandable, however our landlord reckons King’s career would progress much better from staying at Bournemouth for at least another season.
King is only 25-years-old so there really is no rush for him to make the move and given that he still needs more training as a first team striker, and more experience in that position, staying at Bournemouth would be a better choice for him.
Should he move to Everton, he’ll find himself behind Rooney or potentially Christian Benteke should they go in for him.
If he goes to Tottenham, he’ll be behind one of the best young strikers in Europe, Harry Kane.
First team football would be hard to come by at both clubs so he should do himself a favour, and spend another few seasons as Bournemouth’s main man up top, get the experience and then make the move where he can be properly utilised by a new club.
