Premier League

This attacker could become one of the world’s best if he joined Tottenham – agreed?

The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate for Mauricio Pochettino to land a few more world-class players. The Lilywhites have slowly built quite the team in recent years, and the exploits of Harry Kane in 2017 have taken them to another level. It makes sense, then, for Daniel Levy to spend big as he looks to get his team to rival Man City at the top of the Premier League table, and so January could be an interesting time to be a Spurs fan.

A host of players are sure to be linked with a move to North London, but one player that our landlord thinks would be perfect is Christian Pulisic.

Currently playing for Borussia Dortmund, Pulisic is steadily building a reputation to rival Harry Kane. Undoubtedly one of the best attacking midfielders currently playing in Europe, he has gone from strength to strength in the Bundesliga. Providing pace, technique, goals, a high work-rate and goalscoring, Pulisic is fantastic. Aged just 19-years-old, it is truly scary to think of just how good he could be in a few years time.

A move to Tottenham, then, makes sense for the Lilywhites, but it could also make sense for the player. Clearly a youngster with bags of potential, he’d struggle to find a better developmental home than Tottenham. Mauricio Pochettino has overseen the development of some of Europe’s best in recent years, with the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Eric Dier all going to the next level under the boss.

For Pulisic, then, if he is looking to improve, Tottenham would offer a fantastic platform from which to do that. A move would also make sense for Spurs as they look to improve their attacking options.
