Bournemouth were hammered this weekend as their decent start to the Premier League campaign came to an abrupt halt.

Manager Eddie Howe will not want to see many more performances like that he saw this weekend against Burnley, and the young English coach will no doubt be keen to get back on the training pitch and rectify the mistakes which were so prevalent this weekend.

However, the Cherries deserve plenty of credit for how they keep making an impression in the top flight, and one player we think they have in their ranks who will go on to be a genuine Premier League star is Welsh midfielder David Brooks.

The 21-year-old got his move to the top flight after impressing for Sheffield United last term, and he has already made an impression this season, becoming a regular for Howe as he puts his trust in the youngsters abilities.

Brooks is one of a rare breed of young players who seemingly still play without fear, with his ability to beat men on the dribble one of his key assets.

If Brooks can indeed keep developing and improving his performances with the experience that comes with playing in the top flight week in, week out, then we could well see the youngster becomes one of the finest midfield players in the Premier League over the coming years.

Cherries fans, what do you think? Is Brooks that good? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
