Wolves are looking well on their way to promotion to the Premier League this season, and now look dead certainties to seal their place back in the top flight under manager Nuno Santo.
Some massive spending and some excellent coaching by Santo has left Wolves blowing their rivals out of the water, and next year could well see Wolves push on further, with the club’s owners looking for them to become Premier League regulars over the coming seasons.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord has been speaking to some of the Molineux contingent, and they have already been drawing up plans for the summer and thinking who the club should look to go out and sign.
One big name player who he thinks could be an excellent signing is current Liverpool midfielder James Milner.
The fomer Aston Villa and Leeds United man has proved himself to be quite the top professional over the years, and following another excellent spell with Man City, he has made his position in the Liverpool squad his own over the last few seasons too.
Liverpool continue to build though and add new players, and Milner might well end up being one of the players who is surplus to requirements eventually.
With Wolves no doubt needing some Premier League experience in their ranks, Milner would be the perfect sort of signing. Capable in all manner of different positions and with a top CV, the England man would be a perfect fit at Molineux if Santo decided to make a move.
