Crystal Palace head into the summer under a wave of uncertainty, following Sam Allardyce’s surprise decision to leave the club after successfully steering them clear of relegation.
This news has rightly sent the Palace fans here in the Tavern into a bit of a spin, with the majority of supporters left wondering just who will come in and takeover the reigns following a decent spell under Allardyce.
Our landlord though thinks things will pan out well enough, and soon Palace will be able to start and make plans as to who they wish to bring in during the summer transfer window.
One player who he surprisingly dropped into conversation this week over by the pool table was Dortmund and Poland full back Lukasz Piszczek.
The experienced right back has been one of the most consistent performers in Europe over the past five to six seasons, and though he plays with the German giants, this does not rule him out of wanting a move to the Premier League.
The lure of playing in London and earning the big money which can now be paid by almost any Premier League club could be a telling factor, and if Palace did make a move for Piszczek, it would be somewhat of a coup for the club.
Powerful, quick, and brilliant at getting forward to support his midfield, Piszczek could easily adapt to life in England and would make a superb signing for Palace – or any other Premier League club for that matter.
Palace fans what do you think? Good signing? Give us your thoughts!
