Everton have been spending some huge sums this summer, but in recouping £75m for Romelu Lukaku, there is no doubt still plenty left in the coffers for the Toffees before the transfer window ends.
Manager Ronald Koeman has brought in a whole host of new talent including Michael Keane, Davy Klaassen, and Cuco Martina, but this does not mean the Dutch manager is quite done in the market.
With continuing rumours about the future of Ross Barkley, our landlord here in the Tavern believes Everton could well do with adding another attacking midfield player to their ranks, something the Toffees fans here at the bar this week have tended to agree with.
One player who our gaffer thinks could do an excellent job for the Blue half of Merseyside is current Dortmund and former Man United man Shinji Kagawa.
The Japanese international was never quite used enough for the Red Devils in his spell in the Premier League, but since re-signing for Dortmund has shown the sort of form and class which Alex Ferguson will have known he possessed when he signed him originally.
A skillful and tricky customer who is adept in the number 10 role mainly, Kagawa would add a craft and guile to Everton’s attacking options. His ability to break down defences with slick passing and the ability to spot the seemingly impossible, would mean the Toffees have something up their sleeve in even the tightest of games.
Everton fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!!
